For a long time the Glasgow Science Centre have been advertising that they will be showing the IMAX version of Watchmen. Lo and behold they’re now not showing it. I gave them a call and spoke to a very nice, polite young lady who said they couldn’t reach an agreement with the distruibutor.
I think this translates as they didnt want to pay the requested price for the film. Fair enough but why not do this before listing that you will be showing it.
To further irk me the cineworld website only lists four cinemas as showing the Watchmen film! One is in scotland so I should be able as a last resort see it at the moviedrome in glasgow - souless beast of a cinema.
Anyone would think that the whole launch of this movie is going to be a farce. Rant over - off to relax and try and get some tickets for next friday

The National Media Museum in Bradford would also appear to have balked at the asking price… No longer showing there. So, a trip over the border to Manchester for me…
