Rorschach (1940 - 1985), one of the main protagonists within the Watchmen Universe, getting his name from the image appearing on his mask, which he considers to be his real face. A rorschach is an ink blot test, those kind they use in schools, where you look at a page with an ink blot on it and say what you see. I’m sure the results on every one of these tests predicts that kids will be mass murderers, school teachers, lawyers or just suffer from the perpetual ennui of modern life.
Rorschach, real name walter Jason Kovacs, is the bastard son of a prostitute and acts as a true vigilante. It wasn’t until 1964 that Kovacs took on the identity of Rorschach.
In the 2009 Movie adaptation of Watchmen Rorschach is to be played by Jackie Earle Hayley.
